Nation I could call Home

Jim Yardley, with contribution from Hari Kumar published an article on India's solution to the Poor on 9 August 2010. This is the same day as my nation's day of celebration of Independence. After reading that article in New York Times, I had many thoughts about nationhood, community service and prayer for the world.

Singapore : being born here has given me many opportunities which I know I won't get in many nations. What's the likelihood that two lowly-educated adults get offsprings who become university graduates? In Singapore, this is possible. And it's the planning of some compassionate or far-sighted people in government. I benefited.

In so many ways, Singapore truly deserves a resounding cheer
