Escentric molecules

This perfume 'Molecules' boast that everyone who had a whiff would like the person who has this scent.

For 100ml, I paid quite a price to own it. It has never run out after these three years, but I think it's. Time to say goodbye. Shifting house has. Made me ruthless ;p

Italian and Spanish

My ambitions to master languages stems from a hunger to understand people, culture, and her systems.

Confession: I have never opened these two packs

Maybe, korean language should be my focus...

无意中的沮丧

在打印机旁,看到几张图。一看这张,在脑海浮现的是:寂寞,伤心,无助 - 好悲哦!

但我却深深地被吸引了。

Recycling efforts @ Starbucks

I was so frustrated that I just wanted to throw as much as I could during packing prior to shifting

But I read the message at the bottom of this paper bag and I couldn't throw this away...

Successful attempt, Starbucks.

随心所欲

'随心所欲'应该是高深的思想家所创的成语吧。

因世上是不可能万事都心想事成的。可是人人又很渴望那份操纵与摆布的力量。

这短短三句是搬家惹的祸。

Anger @ inefficiency

In short, I've a short fuse.

I need a reason for people's insufficiency. I start my complaints with 'why can't you...'

Someone kindly helped me to stuff my books from this shelf into my boxes. And she happily picked things up from the floor to put into my shelf to create more space. And I start complaining 'why can't people follow simple instructions?' All I wanted was things to be out of the shelf. I didn't allow you to put that item into my shelf.

And you know what, it's not me at all to lose my cool for such minor matters. I only have one conclusion: I take my mum for granted.

She didn't hear any of these complaints because I don't utter them. The fact that these complaints rise quickly in my heart shows how little I want her to be loved deeply by me. Of course I resent how quickly she loses her temper with me too. We're from the same mold afterall...

Sigh... Point for improvement.

Eat @ Wildhoney

$32 for this plate of breakfast with Ruboois Tea. Sausage, bacon, sauteed mushroom, potato, scrambled egg, and delicious bread... My friends bogged at the portion (you can see how little they eat in the next two photos) and I thought it wonderful.

It's a pity that there's just too much salt after a while... I couldn't finish it knowing how much salt is left on my tongue.

Love the place though :) too expensive for a simple breakfast but worthwhile to go again!

Korean versus Japanese

'Mischievous Kiss' has now been produced by Korea! It was first a Japanese Manga, then a drama series, then Taiwan series.

Between the Japan series and Korean series, the Korean one wins hands down.

Lighting of the shots are done beautifully. Look at this photo, the romance, the beauty of youth can't be missed.

Forged and Forged

This Eddie who is notorious enough to appear on my blog deserves no less disgrace.

His insincere attempts in living leaves this society little to trust him. He has abused the trust of the government, the integrity of a young girl, preyed on people's fear of the law and has totally no respect for our education assessment.

Being fake is a choice. I admit that it takes courage to face the fact that you're not good enough or one needs a moral mind to have self-control. But choosing to harm others in our cowardice is not acceptable.

CNA: Former AETOS officer jailed for asking underage girl for sex

Former AETOS officer jailed for asking underage girl for sex

Nov 15

SINGAPORE: A former officer from AETOS Security Consultants was on Monday jailed two years for offences including asking an underage girl to either have sex with him or give him money after he had caught her smoking and littering.

Twenty-six-year-old Eddie Quek Yu Meng, who used to be attached to the National Environment Agency (NEA) as an enforcement officer, spotted the 15-year-old student committing the offences near Woodlands Civic Centre at around 5pm on October 31, 2008.

He took down her particulars but instead of reporting her to the relevant authorities, released her on the spot.

Quek later called the girl on February 10, 2009 and pretended to be an NEA officer, even though he had already left AETOS in November 2008.

The pair met up at Block 365 Woodlands Avenue 1 at around 4pm where the girl pleaded with Quek not to inform her parents and school about her offences.

Quek asked what she could give him in return for helping her.

He claimed a girl once had sex with him while a boy paid him after he agreed to help them.

The 15-year-old girl refused to have sex with him and she made a police report after telling her boyfriend about her ordeal.

Besides this, Quek had also accepted a S$50 bribe from an unknown Chinese man whom he had caught littering near Woodlands MRT station in September 2008.

This, in exchange for not taking enforcement action against the man.

Quek had also used a forged Singapore-Cambridge GCE O Level certificate on November 13, 2007 to apply for a job at a bookshop.

He had found the original document in a pile of discarded items near a lift and decided to use it even though he did not even complete his primary school education.

Quek then pasted his own name onto the certificate and made a copy of it before applying for the job.

The tanned, bespectacled man had also been caught with two other forged documents in his possession.

One of them had the Singapore Police Force logo on its letterhead.

It contained instructions on how a strip search was supposedly conducted on both men and women.

The other bogus document was a blank Notice to Attend Court, purportedly signed by a Certis CISCO officer.

For asking the girl for gratification, Quek could have been jailed up to five years, fined a maximum of S$100,000 or both.

And for being in possession of the forged documents, for each charge, he could have been jailed up to four years and fined.

It was so soft to the touch when I lifted its veil of plastic wrapper. Rainy Day or Sunny Day, we are friends. A way to say we will keep in touch.

Surprises in Kinokuniya

While browsing the travel guides in Kino (Ngee Ann City), I had a pleasant surprise! They carry one book on Qinghai!

I've tried googling for information of this place near tibet with little satisfaction. Without hesitation, I used my $40 vouchers received from two colleagues to pay for it.

I'll be there from 9 to 20 Dec. I wonder if I'll survive the cold. What would I teach? I'll be planning that after I shifted to my new lodging end of this month...

Tour Beijing

Going to Beijing in Dec is getting more and more exciting

My friend recommended this '地铁旅行' series for my Beijing trip. He has used this book well in his last trip and I trust that I'll be just as blessed.

In Singapore, both Kinokuniya and Prologue carries this series of guidebooks. Price at prologue is better :) even the one at 4th floor of Ion offers better pricing.

Charm

All of us are blessed in different ways. Hyun Joong can't act. But he is charming, kind, witty and manly when he's not required to follow a script. All these qualities despite his mere 24 years of time on earth.

I first noticed him in variety show 'We're Married'. He was quick to defend his wife who's older than him with a most disarming charm. I was hooked by his personality. The quality of gentleness exuded from his interviews and play-acting. It was natural then, for me to expect a good performance from 'Boys before Flowers'. The name of the drama is weird because someone attempted to do a direct translation from the Japanese comic. His acting was at most, a fair attempt.

He's blessed with natural good looks (lighting, hairstyling play important roles too). He could sing and dance too. Perhaps a less melancholic role would suit him in his next attempt : Basic House

My Singapore, my home?

Would a place filled with strife, life-threats and filth qualify the term 'home'?

What should one do as the reality that Singapore youths carry choppers to leisure spots such as Downtown East? A walk home could mean being hacked to pulp for mistaken identity?

The trauma to my sense of safety remains till this day when the lone woman danced in crowded Sentosa and was publicly groped by a group of men and no one came to rescue her... Even if she looked inviting with lewd or flirtatious moves, the crowd that saw her outraged said and did nothing.

The message could only be: I live in a silent and morally weak society.

What could I do when I see a group of youths bashing one youth right in the middle of a crowded park? What should I say when a woman screams 'molest' and I didn't see how he molested her... Why are these basic responses so far from basic for the Singaporean?

Taiwan-a place for a good holiday?

Many advertisements have stated that Taiwan is fun and value-for-money. I don't know... I fear it would be a case of third class japan holiday.

Everyone who enjoyed their holiday in Taiwan talked about the food. And some people mentioned shopping. I don't need any more clothes or shoes. And I am not a fan of taiwanese cuisine. Then, I was told that the taiwanese food found here are not tasty compared to those found in taiwan!

Gosh... An air ticket to a place I do not look forward to go... But I must say that I am curious :)

Book vouchers

Kinokuniya!!!

Here I come! Two colleagues gave me some book vouchers and they're from the bookshop I frequent most!

Such thoughtful gifts were given without announcement or hesitation. Some people will squeeze out time to go somewhere to get a gift, some people found that tiresome... Some people just pretend that giving gifts is none of their business...

I guess you could sense I've gone into the pensive mode again. Yes, and happy am I to finally bring God into these muddy thoughts. God saw it his business to offer the gift, He took much time to prepare the gift and He gave it while I rejected His existence and truth. I've experienced the beauty of giving and happily, I'm at the receiving end.
