Doing hostel duty which required me to stay in the hostel. Hence, I have my own time of worship with the Lord. Very blessed time.

Taking the Mystery out of the Will of God

What's the conclusion of the whole sermon?
God's will for us is

1. to be saved


2. to be Spirit-filled (controlled by the Spirit)


3. be sanctified


4. be submissive


5. to suffer


6. to say thanks to Him

Then, which university should I go? which woman should I marry? which job should I apply for? What is the will of God for me?

God loves to reveal His will to those who love Him, this means that His will is
not hidden - so where to find His will?

Know His will in His word. But true lovers of God will not just want to know His will, we'll plead with Him to help us DO His will.

'Teach me to do your will, for you are my God' Psalm 143:10a

Are you doing God's will? Just to paraphrase the above 6 points briefly:

1. Do you embrace the Son and obey Him?


2. Are your thoughts, actions and words controlled by the Spirit?


3. Are you separated from sin and your body is managed to please God?


4. Are you submitting to authorities and one another?


5. Are you living so righteously that the world reacts?


6. Do you always rejoice?

If you're doing all the above 6 points, then do whatever you want. Because God's ways are thus:

'Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart' Ps 37: 4

My plans for Bhutan...

Sohnam is from Bhutan. He joined us at every place of interest in Chengdu. While he leaves us to meet other tour agencies to promote Bhutan tourism, he makes friends with all of us from the conference to create awareness of his tour agency.

On the first day, he appeared with the Bhutan robe (Goh). Gosh, we all swoon. With his gentle and shy ways, he won many friends. Now, a breakdown of what I found out about tour with Sohnam if I could have a 6-person tour (USD):

flight from Singapore to Thailand 300
flight from Thailand to Bhutan 900

total for 8 day trip: USD 2735
@ exchange rate of 1.2 is SGD 3,288.19

A clear conscience

Acts 24: 15-16

and I have the same hope in God as these men, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked. So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man


It's strange how when accused, I still stand weak before the accuser. And it took me many days of praying before I could conclude that my conscience was and is clear. There is no need to waver in front of the accuser. No one is righteous before God, but if we have truly loved God and people, then there is no need to flog ourselves to find the imperfect moments. This may sound like a sub-standard way of walking uprightly, but seriously, Jesus came to give us grace:

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. ~ Matthew 11: 28

and also

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
~ Matthew 11: 29-30

He did not come to persecute us. Let us dwell in the grace that is shed so abundantly. Love God and enjoy His love... Be confident in having victory over sins. For Christ has won us over by His blood... Walk faithfully, keep our eyes on Jesus, on our future.

Let us look forward to going home with a shout of victory...
