The wet tissue they provide is completely focused on the Triathlon event! Nothing about Tung Lok was mentioned at all...
Patriotic?
Trendy?
Sporty?
The schools were assigned a country which we could show our support to. And Peirce Secondary School drew a very big canvas of Niger and sports. It is amazing how a tiny island of mere 704 square kilometres (one hour drive from east to west end) could sustain the magnitude of yet another world event.
In 1973 and 1993, Singapore hosted the Southease Asian (SEA) Games. And now, we've propelled forward to host an olympic size event.
Would the people in Singapore have an increased passion and awareness of more sports after this event? Many schools are involved in performing, hosting, and many volunteers are referee, logistic help and many other roles are fulfilled by Singaporeans. Surely, the awareness will increase by leaps and bounds.
