The Face of My Country

I realised that my recent blogs are all about food! Time to make a change!

For Singaporeans, a common sight as we travel on the roads is on-going construction. And it isn't that we can't finish what we plan to accomplish. It is the constant desire to keep our offices, our schools, our flats safe and perhaps more spacious with time. Without earth-rattling quakes, forceful typhoons or prolonged floods, why do we need to give our concrete a facial or a face-lift every once in a while.

The wisdom behind it is not to belittle persistent sunshine and faithful humidity. And even before I understood all these, someone else has thought of it and committed himself to work on it. Isn't this wonderful? We're all relaxed and carefree, not nervous about getting out of a hotel or shopping centre alive.

Inevitably, we don't think about a lot of issues which God already thought of. And all because He knows our needs. And in human condition, not all who know our needs will do something for us :)

Truly blessed to live in the hands of Him who has mercy on us
