Ironcast Teapot

The usual price of this teapot is $183 at Tangs Orchard. I got it at a sale!

I was in love with this kind of tea after I saw it being used by a salesman at Isetan. The tea he poured out from his teapot was so refreshing, I bought the tea immediately. And my mind was plagued with images of the iron teapot.

No place carries that teapot! imagine the happy encounter of discovering it at Tangs! The joy, however, was short-live. The price stole it all.

An interlude is needed here: the tea I bought did not taste as good as it did as Isetan. What did I do wrong? I suspected the teapot. For those of you who knows little of my royally sensitive taste buds and sense of smell, you would think my desires have taken over my frame of mind.

After possessing the teapot at the sale, I did a research on it. It rusts!!!! Without careful attempts to ensure it's dry, it will rust. Why is it so expensive? Why do people want it?

It does produce better taste!!! It emits iron into the water, and maintains an even temperature for at least an hour. And today, I drank it. Everything mentioned in the websites about testubin (Japanese term for this kind of teapot) was true!!!
