China bans blogs so I could not write anything for Dec 2010. If you missed reading my blog, leave a comment! :)
First, May you be showered with love, joy and peace in 2011!
I spent quite some time alone in China and once, I passed this dining bar which is featured in my guide book. It was Christmas Eve and the whole place was packed. I was cold and alone and wanted no rejection.
Amazingly, the seat right at the door was vacated the instant I entered. Mercifully, I did not need to trod to another place to dine in -10 degree celsius.
Pizza, soup, tiramisu cost less than SGD20 and it was a wonderful time alone. The couples next to me talked and soon they were forming part of the background noise of the festive atmosphere.
Really love the tibetan pictures and the coffee served. And I kept witnessing the scenario of guests entering, bringing in the cold and their turning away when they said they didn't make a reservation. I felt like a very fortunate person. I felt blessed that night.
Love the name of the pub most - 过客。 we're all passers-by of whichever place we trod. Life is transient.
