WALKING DOWN this steep slope (with my own legs) for 15 minutes isn't the tough part... I was thinking of the effort needed to come back up.
Soon, I noticed the steady footstep of 2: one man and his horse. He walked behind me, hoping that I would take up the offer of 150,000 rupiah to ride his horse down the slope, to Volcano and back to the hotel. This will save me a lot of pain up the same slope. But I DON'T HAVE 150,000 rupiah to spare on my last day here.
150,000 rupiah = SGD22
Anyway, it's too expensive by indonesian standards.
By the time I've crossed the concrete slope into savanah, he was in-defatigable. I've told him in no uncertain terms that I've no money. He followed me.
