Lifelessness
a thought struck me.
On the escalator, as the automated steps carry me down a short distance between platform and waiting bay, the thought settled on the bedrock of my mind gently but firmly.
I'm frustrated by lifeless people.
How do I define 'lifeless'?
Frankly, I'm still grappling with it. Perhaps...
It's the incapacity to embrace diversity
The placid acceptance that he/ she is ordinary
The stagnant hopelessness of having nothing unusual in the morrow
And each day, they depend on what they used to know, used to do and the people they used to be with to make conversations or decisions
There is nothing new, nothing else
There is no growth, no discovery
And when such people becomes a part of your life, your difference, your hopes and your adventures become their envy, their disapproval and quiet burden...
That tires me out too...
Wow... I'm surprised how thoughts fly so gently in, and take root so quickly...
Truly, only God's love could make each human being tolerate or even celebrate close contact with another
